  26. .SH NAME
  27. CURLOPT_STDERR \- redirect stderr to another stream
  28. .SH SYNOPSIS
  29. .nf
  30. #include <curl/curl.h>
  31. CURLcode curl_easy_setopt(CURL *handle, CURLOPT_STDERR, FILE *stream);
  32. .fi
  33. .SH DESCRIPTION
  34. Pass a FILE * as parameter. Tell libcurl to use this \fIstream\fP instead of
  35. stderr when showing the progress meter and displaying \fICURLOPT_VERBOSE(3)\fP
  36. data.
  37. If you are using libcurl as a win32 DLL, this option will cause an exception
  38. and crash in the library since it cannot access a FILE * passed on from the
  39. application. A work-around is to instead use \fICURLOPT_DEBUGFUNCTION(3)\fP.
